Information Security Analyst & Technical Partner

| POSITION DESCRIPTION Information Security Analyst & Technical Partner Neo Bank · Full-Time · Growth Role with Mentorship |
About the Role
You will not be alone. Information security accountability is held by the bank's leadership, supported by an experienced external security firm, and you will work directly alongside them — executing the program day to day, learning how a regulated security function runs, and steadily taking on more ownership as you develop. Think of this as the role where a strong, curious technologist becomes a security leader.
You will thrive here if you are eager, ask good questions, and bring energy to both a security checklist and a cloud architecture diagram. You are early in your journey, hungry to learn, and ready to make security your craft.
| Security Fundamentals | Cloud Curiosity | AI-Aware | Clear Communication | Compliance Exposure | Eager to Grow |
What You'll Do
- Support the bank's information security program day to day — helping maintain policies, controls, and documentation under the guidance of leadership and our external security partner.
- Help track and triage security risks across the technology landscape, escalating to leadership and the consulting firm for decisions and sign-off.
- Assist with compliance activities — gathering evidence, preparing materials, and supporting internal reviews, third-party assessments, and audit preparation.
- Help maintain a current, accurate application and asset inventory, with documented owners, data classifications, and access controls.
- Contribute to security incident response as part of the team — learning detection, containment, and lessons-learned alongside more senior responders.
- Partner with engineering and product teams on secure development practices and sensible architecture choices, with mentorship on where security fits in.
- Help administer and monitor the AWS environment — IAM, logging, and security tooling — building hands-on cloud security skills as you go.
- Support vendor and SaaS reviews — collecting security documentation and helping assess partners under a defined process.
- Keep systems documented, patched, and tracked, so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Bring curiosity about AI tools — exploring how AI can help automate security monitoring, compliance, and routine operations.
- Stay aware of the evolving threat and technology landscape, and share what you learn with the team.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Roughly 2–4 years in a technical role — IT, software, cloud, systems, or security. Direct security experience is a plus, not a requirement; a strong technologist eager to specialize in security is exactly who we want.
- Technical Foundation: Comfortable with core technology concepts — networks, systems, or cloud (AWS a plus). You can learn security tooling quickly with guidance.
- Curiosity & Drive: Genuinely interested in security and AI, and motivated to grow into a leadership role over time.
- Compliance Exposure (nice to have): Any exposure to frameworks like SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001 is a bonus — but we will teach you what you need to know.
- Certifications (willing to pursue): Security+, AWS certifications, or similar are welcome. We will support you in earning relevant certifications on the job.
- Communication: You can write and speak clearly, and you are comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.
- You are hungry to learn and you take feedback well — you treat mentorship as a gift, not a critique.
- You are reliable and detail-oriented — you follow through, document your work, and don't let things slip.
- You ask good questions before you act, and you raise risks early rather than hiding them.
- You bring energy without drama to a fast-paced, high-trust, startup-pace environment.
Growth Path
How Success Is Measured

- Begun supporting day-to-day security operations and documentation under guidance.
- Built working relationships with engineering, product, and our external security partner.
- Started building hands-on familiarity with the AWS environment and security tooling.
- Take on increasing ownership of recurring security and compliance tasks.
- Earn at least one relevant certification, with the bank's support.
- Become a dependable, trusted contributor the team relies on — and a growing security voice in the room.
