About the Role
The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of deposit account transactions, including money movement across internal and external systems, and for identifying, escalating, and resolving operational issues that affect account integrity or customer funds. This role serves as a key point of control between front-line banking operations and customer service and DingoBlu's fraud, compliance, vendors, and technology partners, ensuring transactions are processed correctly and exceptions are surfaced and resolved before they affect customers or the company.

What You'll Own

Money Movement & Transaction Processing

  • Process and review deposit account transactions, including wire transfers, ACH originations and returns, internal transfers, check deposits, and account-to-account movements.
  • Monitor daily settlement and reconcile transaction activity against core banking and payment system records.
  • Verify transaction accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies before release or posting.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to misapplied funds, duplicate postings, or failed transactions.
  • Support end-of-day and intraday balancing processes across deposit-related general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure all money movement activity adheres to applicable regulatory requirements, including Reg CC, Reg E, and BSA/AML.

Escalation Management

  • Identify transactions or account activity that fall outside standard processing parameters and route them through the appropriate escalation path.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for time-sensitive or high-risk issues, including suspected fraud, funds availability disputes, failed same-day transactions, and Reg E disputes.
  • Document escalations clearly, including root cause, impact, and resolution steps, in the case management or ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with Fraud, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to drive issues to resolution within required SLAs.
  • Communicate status updates to internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, front-line or customer-facing teams.
  • Track recurring escalation trends and recommend process or control improvements to reduce future occurrences.
  • When needed, support training and customer service initiatives, including documentation of processes and procedures, testing, and other tasks as assigned.

Controls, Reporting & Quality

  • Maintain accurate records of transaction exceptions and escalations for audit and regulatory review.
  • Assist with preparation of operational reports on transaction volumes, error rates, and escalation resolution times.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and process walkthroughs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual touchpoints, and strengthen controls.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in bank operations, deposit servicing, payments, or a related back-office function.
  • Working knowledge of deposit account types, ACH and wire processing, and core banking systems.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations relevant to deposits and payments, including Reg CC, Reg E, and BSA/AML.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in transaction data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team escalation handling.
  • Ability to work under time pressure, particularly around cutoff times and settlement deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience with a specific core banking platform, such as FIS, Fiserv, or Jack Henry, or payment rails such as Fedwire, ACH, or RTP.
  • Familiarity with case management or incident-tracking tools.
  • Prior experience in a role involving fraud referrals or regulatory reporting support.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

Work Environment
This role may require availability outside standard business hours to support transaction cutoffs, settlement windows, or time-sensitive escalations.
